IPL 2024: Who is Shubman Gill angry with after the embarrassing defeat? Said- Nothing to do with the pitch

Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Titans by six wickets in a low-scoring IPL match on Wednesday. Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bowl and bowled out Gujarat Titans for 89 runs in 17.3 overs, which is the lowest score by any team this season.

Gujarat Titans also had the lowest score so far in this IPL. In this match, the bowlers of Delhi Capitals were successful in showing their magic. Mukesh Kumar was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets for 14 runs, while Ishant Sharma took two wickets for 8 runs and Tristan Stubbs took two wickets in 1 over.

Gujarat Titans' batting was very poor in this match, only three players reached double figures, Rashid Khan scored 31 runs in 24 balls, who also hit the only six in the team's innings.

Disappointed Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill blamed poor batting for the defeat and said, “We batted average. We have to forget this match and move ahead. The pitch was good but our batting shot selection was poor. The wicket was fine but if you look at our dismissals, if you look at how it happened, it had nothing to do with the pitch.”

Gujarat captain angry with his own team

Shubman Gill said, “After this small score we were nowhere in the match. There came an occasion when our batsman took two hat-tricks.

'Player of the match' Rishabh Pant said after the match, 'There are many things to be happy about. We talked about the champion mentality and our team talked about it. Certainly our bowler was the best. It is the beginning of the tournament and we can still improve from here. Before coming on the field, my only thought was to perform better on the field. I had the same thought when I was doing my rehab. All we discussed was that this target has to be achieved as soon as possible, because in some other matches in which we lost, we lost net run rate points.
