Mahindra & Mahindra improved by 1.69 percent. Nifty rose 136 points to 22284. Nestle India is at the top among the falling stocks. There has been a decrease of about 4 percent. BSE Sensex fell 456.10 points to close at 72,943.68, while Nifty 50 fell 124.60 points to close at 22,147.90.
Asian Markets: Asian markets were mixed after overnight losses on Wall Street. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 0.82%, while the Topix fell 0.38%. South Korea's Kospi rose 1.04% and Kosdaq rose 1.16%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index futures opened weak.
Wall Street: The US stock market closed with a decline on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 45.66 points, or 0.12%, at 37,753.31, while the S&P 500 was down 29.20 points, or 0.58%, at 5,022.21. The Nasdaq Composite was down 181.88 points, or 1.15%, at 15,683.37.
