Mirzapur, 17 April (Hindustan Reporter) On Wednesday, the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra, the birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram was celebrated with great pomp in Mirzapur. During this time the entire city was seen colored in saffron.
With slogans like 'Same slogan, same name', 'Jai Shri Ram', 'Jai Shri Ram', Ram devotees took out a grand procession of Ram Lalla from the temple located at Sangmohal in the city. On this occasion, there was amazing enthusiasm among the youth, including children and women. Even in the scorching heat, everyone kept dancing and singing for hours to the tune of the band, shouting slogans of Lord Shri Ram. During the yatra, men participated in special attire like saffron turban, kurta-pajama and women in saree and proclaimed Maryada Purushottam.
Ram Navami Shobha: A grand procession was taken out by Shri Ram Janmotsav Shobha Yatra Committee on the occasion of Ram Navami. The Shobha Yatra was started from the courtyard of Shri Hanuman Temple Sangmohal at 3 o'clock in the afternoon with rituals and prayers and accompanied by drums. Archways were built at various places by the committee. Shobha Yatra late night via Sangmohal, Katra Kotwali, Kachchi Road, Ratanganj, Teliaganj, Dankinganj, Pucca Sarai, Ghantaghar, Basnahi Bazaar, Dhundhi Katra, Gudhatti Square, Mukeri Bazaar, Laldiggi, Musaffarganj, Trimohani, Tivarani Tola, Sankatmochan, Ramaipatti. Ended by going to Hanuman temple. For the Ram Navami procession, Ram devotees had covered the entire city with saffron colored banners and flags.

Thousands of devotees from the city and other places were involved in the procession with the Mahaviri flag. People had made arrangements for refreshments for Ram devotees at various places.
