Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath performed Yagya at the Yagyashala located in the Gorakhnath temple complex on Wednesday on the occasion of Ram Navami. While wishing the people of the state a happy Vasantik Navratri and Shri Ram Navami after the Kanya puja at the Gorakhnath temple, Yogi said that in Vasantik Navratri, from the Pratipada of Shukla Paksha till the date of Navami, the rituals of different forms of Adishakti Maa Bhagwati will be performed today for the worship of virgin girls in the form of Navdurga. Yogi said that the important Navami date of Vasantik Navratri is also the date of birthday of Lord Shri Ram, who takes the society on the path of dignity and presents high ideals of human life values. Thousands of years ago, Lord Vishnu, the guardian of the universe, had incarnated as the son of Maharaja Dasharatha of Ayodhya to establish religion, truth and justice. Today, the birth anniversary of Lord Ram is being celebrated with great enthusiasm by the followers of Sanatan Dharma in the country and the world. This time Ram Navami is being celebrated with great enthusiasm and faith in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. After waiting for 500 years, Ram Lalla has been seated in his grand temple and its unique joy is being seen today in the Ram Janmotsav there. The Chief Minister said that by following the ideals of Lord Ram, we all should discharge our duties towards the society and the country, this will be a symbol of true devotion towards God.

In the morning, before the Kanya Puja ritual and celebration of Shri Ram Janmotsav, Adityanath worshiped Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Maa Durga, in the Gorakhnath temple as per rituals. After the puja, he performed the havan ritual on the ninth date of Vasantik Navratri. The Chief Minister himself performed the Yagya with chanting of mantras and prayed for the welfare of the people. He also extended warm wishes to the people of the state on Ram Navami.
