Flights suspended: Amidst the Israel-Hamas war, Iran attacked Israeli territory late Saturday night. Iran fired missiles at Israel. Amidst this war, Indian airline company Air India, owned by Tata Group, has taken a big decision. The company decided to temporarily suspend flights to the Israeli city of Tel Aviv on Sunday (April 14).
An official told news agency PTI that direct flights from Delhi to Tel Aviv will remain suspended for the time being. Air India operates 4 weekly flights between Delhi and the Israeli city.
Services to Tel Aviv were restored on 3 March.
Air India had resumed services to Tel Aviv on March 3 after a gap of almost 5 months. Air India had suspended flights to Tel Aviv from October 7 last year following the Hamas attack on the Israeli city.
Extremely concerned about the conflict between Israel and Iran: India
After Iran's drone and missile attack on Israel, India on Sunday (April 15) said that it is extremely concerned about the increasing conflict between the two countries and this attack is a threat to regional peace and security. India has expressed concern over this development and has appealed to reduce tension immediately. India said its embassies in the region are in touch with the Indian community. The Foreign Ministry said that India is closely monitoring the situation.
