Disabled students showed their talent in the competitions held in the memory of Dr. Ambedkar

Lucknow, 13 April (HS). On the eve of the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, a general knowledge competition, cultural and personality and work of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was highlighted among the visually handicapped students residing in the male hostel. In this, Chief Provost of the hostel Prof. Virendra Singh Yadav as the chief guest and Ashish Kumar Gupta as the special guest marked his presence and threw light on the social contribution of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar among the disabled students.

On this occasion, Pawan Kumar Mishra, a visually impaired student of Master's History, defined the importance of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in the making of the Indian Constitution which was directly effective in the smooth functioning of Indian democracy and national development. After this, Hostel Provost Ashish Kumar Gupta appreciated the general knowledge competition among the visually challenged students and the cultural programs organized on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. Ankit Tiwari mesmerized all the students and guests present in the program by singing ghazals in his melodious voice.

Postgraduate student Akash Kashyap mentioned the work done on education by Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Discussed efforts to remove social inequality. Diploma student Kamal Kishore, while throwing light on the religious views of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, said that humanity should be given prominence in religion. B.Ed student Jagdish Prasad said that Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar promoted social equality by eliminating casteism. B.Ed student Shalu Verma, highlighting the personality and work of Bhimrao Ambedkar, mentioned many important features of the Constitution and called upon people to give up casteism and give special emphasis on human unity.

Hostel Chief Provost Prof. Virendra Singh Yadav praised the disabled students for the successful organization and conduct of this program. At the end of the program, the meritorious students who performed excellently and participated in the competition were honored by the Chief Provost and Provost.
