Deadline for filing GST returns extended: It is mandatory for the taxpayer to file GST return. Its deadline is 10 April 2024. But on Wednesday, taxpayers are facing difficulties in filing GST. Actually, due to technical problems he was not able to file the return.
In such a situation, to provide relief to the taxpayer, GST Network (GSTN) posted on X. In this post he told that the date for filing returns for GSTR-1 has been extended till April 12.
GST Tech said GSTN has observed that taxpayers are facing difficulties in filing GSTR-1 intermittently since Wednesday due to technical issues, which has led to slow response on the portal.
In such a situation, GSTN has accordingly recommended to @CBIC_India that the due date for filing GSTR-1 for monthly taxpayers be extended by one day i.e. 12/4/24. This means that taxpayers can file GST even today. Today is the last day to file GST.
