Attacks on Hindu sites in America : The MPs of its own country have shown a mirror inside the Parliament to America, which is interfering in the affairs of other countries including India.
A resolution has been presented in the US Parliament expressing displeasure against the attacks on Hindu temples in America. This proposal has been presented in the Parliament by Shri Thanedar, a Congressman of Indian origin.
Even before this, MPs of Indian origin had written a letter to the US Law Ministry seeking answers as to what action was taken in the case of attacks on Hindu temples.
The resolution presented in Parliament states that the Hindu community has a major contribution in the progress of America. However, Hindus are facing discrimination in America. Hindu students are insulted, discriminated against and victims of hate crimes in schools and colleges. The incidents of hatred against Hindus and attacks on temples have increased in America. Today 40 lakh Hindus live in America and they are contributing in every field of America. However, they are becoming victims of Hindu phobia.
On March 29, before the legislation was introduced in Parliament, five Indian-origin lawmakers wrote to the Indian government seeking information from the US government about the investigation into attacks on Hindu temples. It has been said in the letter that there have been attacks on temples from New York to California and this is causing panic in the Hindu community. These MPs also expressed their displeasure against the lax policy of American agencies in investigating the attack.
