Mumbai: The Crime Branch of Thane Police has caught one Ridha Chorta, who had completely changed her appearance with a fake wig and was committing thefts from Assam to Mumbai, Thana and Navi Mumbai. The specialty of this thief was that after committing theft and burglary, he used to go back to his state.
In today's high-tech era, thieves have also become high-tech and are adopting new methods to cheat people. In one such incident, the Crime Branch of Thane Police has arrested a hi-tech thief. The name of the thief is Moinul Abdul Malik Islam and he is originally from Assam. Moinul used to come to Mumbai from Assam every month for two months and target closed houses in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai. There have been many incidents of theft in Thane district in the last few years, the police have also become alert and have launched a special campaign to catch the thieves involved in these incidents.
The accused Moinul was a habitual thief and at the same time he was cunning and cunning and kept trying new tricks to escape from the police. Moinul was Tallio but he used to wear a wig so that his identity would not be revealed on CCTV, apart from this he used to change his entire appearance before any such incident and after making a major change, he would leave for Assam by plane.
Moinul had committed more than 19 major theft incidents in Thane district in recent times, so the police studied the case closely and got more inputs and identified Moinul. Then the team of Thane Crime Branch went to Assam and caught this impostor from his village. Police have also recovered stolen jewelery worth Rs 62 lakh from him. The police produced him in the local court and sentenced him to five days police custody. Thane Crime Branch is interrogating him further to get information about more incidents of theft and where the stolen goods were sold.
