Rs 98,460 recovered from bike at Gudabanda-Odisha border in East Singhbhum


East Singhbhum, 11 April (HIST). Vehicles are being continuously checked for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. In the same sequence, Rs 98,460 was recovered during checking of a bike at Gudabanda-Odisha border in East Singhbhum on Thursday.

According to the information, two youths were going from Baharagora to Odisha on bike. During this time his bike was checked. Police recovered Rs 98,460 cash from the bike during search. One of the youth has been identified as Hemant Kumar Sethi of Baharagora area. During interrogation, Hemant could not give any accurate information regarding the amount.

It is noteworthy that on April 9, Baghbeda police had recovered Rs 9 lakh cash from the car of a person named Shahnawaz Ansari from Chaibasa bus stand in East Singhbhum district. On the same day, after searching a vehicle in Jamshedpur, police recovered Rs 5 lakh 63 thousand 400 in cash from Kesharpur check post. Not only this, two days ago also Rs 71,500 was seized from Kesharpur check post.
