Kanpur, 08 April (HS). On Monday, wheat crop caught fire due to sudden falling of electric wire in Patrasa village of Ghatampur police station area. On receiving information about the fire, local police and fire brigade reached the spot and somehow managed to control the fire. There are reports of several acres of crops being burnt due to the fire. However, there is no information about any casualty.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kumar said that on Monday afternoon, the police control room received information about fire in wheat crop in Patrasa village of Sadh police station area. On receiving this information, police and fire brigade of Ghatampur police station immediately reached the spot and somehow the fire was controlled. There was no loss of life due to the fire. However, much of the wheat crop was burnt and destroyed.
