Apple is working on two new AirPods models. These new AirPods are likely to be launched with the upcoming iPhone 16 series smartphones. This new iPhone is likely to be launched in the month of September in 2024. Like every year, Apple will organize a special grand event for this launch. Apple is likely to launch new AirPods during this event. Many new upgraded features will be seen in these new AirPods.

How much will it cost?

Jeff Pu, who reports on Apple's supply chain, says AirPods may be available for sale during the last six months of this year. The company can keep the price of these new AirPods around $99. Apart from this, another report also claims that the company can launch two different models of AirPods. One model will be standard, which will be launched in place of the third generation AirPods and the other model will be launched in place of the high model AirPods.

Advanced features may be available

These new AirPods may feature ANC and a speaker in the charging case, which will enable the use of the Find My Location tracking feature. Apart from this, both models will have USB port for charging. According to a report, Apple is also working on new software like hearing aids, which can be released with iOS 18. After this, at the end of the year, Apple can also launch an updated AirPods Max, in which users will get a USB C port for charging.

Will production take place in India?

On the other hand, there is also talk that the company may increase assembly at its plants in India during the fourth quarter of 2024. In such a situation, there is a possibility that most of the production of these upcoming AirPods can be done in India only. After the launch of these fourth generation AirPods, Apple may stop the production of second generation and third generation AirPods models as per its system. However, the device can be purchased as long as it is available in the market.
