Now understand the science of fast bowling
Newton's two laws have a special impact on fast bowling. Newton's first law states that anything remains at rest unless an external force is applied on it. While bowling fast, the bowler accelerates the ball by applying force on it. When a bowler throws the ball he applies force using his arms and shoulders. This force propels the ball forward and helps it move through the air. Newton's second law states that the speed of an object is determined by its weight and the amount of 'thrust' applied on it. Thrust is called 'momentum'. That means the less weight and more speed, the more speed.
understand with example
A heavy stone is difficult to push because it weighs more. But if a heavy stone is pushed down a slope, it will roll faster because its 'thrust' or 'speed' will increase. Same thing happens with fast bowling. The bowler adds 'thrust' or 'speed' to the ball to bowl it faster. For this he uses all his strength and also rotates the ball. Due to rotation, the ball starts 'swinging' in the air, due to which its speed increases even more.
Mathematics of Mayank Yadav's bowling
Mayank Yadav is 6 feet 1 inch tall, which helps him in taking long strides and bowling fast. His strong shoulders and arms enable him to throw the ball with great power. While taking the run-up, Mayank accelerates the ball by raising his right hand and rotating his shoulders. They also use their fingers to rotate the ball, affecting the ball's speed in the air.
