Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, currently in jail, has made a shocking allegation and said that an attempt has been made to kill his wife Bushra Bibi.
Imran Khan told the court that Bushra was poisoned in his house. Bushra is currently confined to her home. The Government of Pakistan has converted this house into a sub-jail. On the other hand, Imran Khan is in Adiala Jail of Rawalpindi.
During the hearing of Toshkha's case, Imran told the court that despite being poisoned, Bushra survived but marks of poison were still visible on her skin and tongue. The court should conduct medical examination of Bushra.
He further said that I know on whose instructions Bushra Bibi was poisoned. If anything happens to him, the entire responsibility will be on Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir. Pakistan's intelligence agencies are keeping an eye on every movement of Bushra Bibi.
Imran expressed doubt that even if the court orders medical examination of Bushra Bibi, there is a possibility that the medical report will also be changed to prove me wrong. To prevent such a situation from arising, they should get themselves medically examined by Dr. Asim Yunus of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. After this the court asked Imran Khan to file the application first, after which further action would be taken.
Leaders of Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had said this in February itself. Party's women's wing president Kanwal Shaujab said that Bushra Bibi is being given harmful food and her health is deteriorating. Bushra Bibi's life is in serious danger.
Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been sentenced to 14 years in prison for selling gifts in Toshakhan. In which Bushra Bibi has been kept under house arrest. At present, the High Court has stayed the sentence of the lower court.
