Tournament officials said the incident on the highway resulted in hours-long road traffic jam, leaving players from all four teams stranded. The match has been postponed due to players being stuck in traffic jam.

2 matches suspended for 24 hours due to fire and traffic

Both Dhaka Premier League matches, which were postponed due to the fire and traffic jams, were scheduled to be played on Tuesday, April 2. But, now it will be played after 24 hours on 3rd April i.e. Wednesday. The organizers have postponed Wednesday's match till Thursday.

What causes fires and traffic jams on highways?

According to reports, the entire accident happened at 5.30 am on Tuesday when an oil tank truck caught fire. When the truck filled with oil caught fire, four more trucks parked there and a private car also got caught in the fire. The result was that anarchy spread. Due to this incident there was a jam on the road.
