The most used instant messaging app WhatsApp is launching new features every week. Now, according to information provided by the feature tracker, WhatsApp is currently working on a feature that will help users edit their photos using editing tools powered by artificial intelligence. When the feature rolls out, users will be able to instantly edit, restyle or extend the background of any photo using AI. Along with this, the company is also working on a feature that will allow users to ask questions directly on Meta AI service in the search bar.
According to feature tracker WABetaInfo, messaging apps are launched in beta versions to test the performance of new features before they are rolled out. Now this AI feature will be checked in WhatsApp beta version of Android named 2.24.7.13 update. In which the photo editor feature is being tested.
In the latest report of WABetaInfo, a screenshot showing the interface of this feature has been presented. Sending photos on WhatsApp can be seen in this interface. Tapping on the green icon visible at the top left of the HD icon opens three options, namely Background, Restyle, Expand. The company is still working on this feature. So what exactly these three features do is not yet known. WhatsApp may announce these new features soon.
With all this, another feature has been revealed by WABetaInfo in the new WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.7.14. According to this feature tracker website, users also get the facility to ask questions to Meta AI in the search bar at the top of the WhatsApp app. As for Meta's product, the company has introduced its own AI chatbot to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT in the field of generative assistant AI. Which can be rolled out for users in the next update.
The thing to note here is that both these features are still in the development phase. Even if you have updated to the latest version of WhatsApp, you will still not be able to use these features. Currently the company is working on improving both these features. For this first testing, both these features will be rolled out in beta version.
