Israeli attack on Iran embassy, ​​8 Iranian guards including top commander killed

There was no immediate comment from Israel on the deadly attack in Damascus. This attack has taken place at a time when tension is increasing in Israel regarding the Gaza war against the Palestinian organization Hamas. At the same time, violence has increased between Israel and Iran's allies. Earlier, a news agency had claimed that some diplomats were also among the dead.

Rescue team started searching for people buried under the debris

According to information now revealed, the annexe building was seen collapsing after the attack and emergency services were dispatched to the Damascus district to quickly treat the injured. People buried under the debris are also being searched. It has also been claimed that the building was completely destroyed in the attack. Everyone inside was killed and injured. The dead included Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, senior commander of the Quds Force, the foreign operations arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It was the fifth attack in eight days on Damascus in Syria, whose President Bashar al-Assad is backed by Iran, Israel's longtime archenemy in the region.

On the other hand, a news agency has claimed that the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Hussein Akbari and his family were not harmed in the Israeli attack. According to other information, at least 5 people died in the attack by F35 fighter plane.
