Jalaun, 01 April (Hindustan Reporter). On Monday, a speeding truck hit a bike rider from behind on Jhansi-Kanpur National Highway-27. In this accident he died on the spot. After this accident, the driver ran away with the truck. As soon as information about the accident was received, the local police reached the spot and after identifying the deceased, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.
The entire incident took place near Chauhan Dhaba located on Jhansi Kanpur National Highway 27 under Kalpi Kotwali area. Here, Ramdin Sachan (40), son of Shanti Swaroop, resident of Telupur of Devrahat police station area of Kanpur Dehat, had come to Orai for a relative's visit and he reached Jhansi Kanpur National Highway under Kalpi Kotwali area on his bike around 10 am on Monday morning. Reached Chauhan Dhaba located on Highway 27. At the same time, a speeding truck coming from Jhansi on the highway hit Ramdeen's bike from behind. In this accident, the bike rider Ramdeen Sachan jumped on the road and fell, after which the truck moved ahead, trampling him, due to which he lost his life. But he died.
Inspector Kamta Prasad, in-charge of Kalpi Kotwali, says that the identity of the truck driver has been known and action will be taken soon by arresting the driver.
