Car bomb blast in Syria's Azaz province, 8 people killed in the attack; 20 injured

Beirut: A bomb exploded on Sunday morning in a market in a northern Syrian town captured by pro-Turkish forces. 8 people died and more than 20 people were injured in this blast. A war observer present on the spot gave this information.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a car bomb exploded in the middle of a popular market in Azaz, Aleppo province. 8 people died and more than 20 people were injured in this blast. The death toll may increase further.

Several ambulances and rescue workers were present at the scene

The Britain-based Observatory, which has a network of sources inside Syria, said several ambulances and rescue workers were at the scene of the blast.

Turkish forces and their Syrian proxies have captured large parts of the border, including several large cities and towns such as Azaz. Syria's war began in 2011 after the government cracked down on peaceful protests and has been a deadly conflict involving jihadists and foreign forces.
