New Delhi, March 30 (Hindustan Reporter) On Friday, the second day of the ongoing 56th National Kho Kho Championship, Maharashtra Police, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) won in the men's category and ITBP, Delhi, and Vidarbha won in the women's category.
In an important match played in the men's category, Uttarakhand faced Maharashtra Police in which Nitesh and Akshay of Maharashtra Police took 4 points each to take the team to 30 points. In reply, Uttarakhand team could score only 26 points. In this way, Maharashtra Police won this match by one innings and 4 points.
Meanwhile, Dadar and Nagar Haveli defeated Sikkim (32-16) by an innings and 18 runs. At the same time, in another match ITBP faced Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). With 6 points from attacker Sunithirajan and 2 points from Shankar Pa, SSB scored a total of 22 points. In reply, ITBP could score only 20 points and lost the match by a margin of 2 points.
ITBP faced Assam in an exciting match in the women's category. In this match, ITBP all-rounder Poonam scored 8 points and Vishakha scored 6 points, taking the team's score to 32 points. In response, Assam team made a brilliant comeback in the match with the help of Mouni scoring 12 points in 1.30 minutes of excellent defense and 6 points in 1 minute of Nikita's defence. But in response to ITBP's score of 30 points, Assam was able to score only 30 points.
Delhi's dominance was visible in the match played between hosts Delhi and Jharkhand. Delhi scored 38 points with 8 points from Delhi's attacker captain Nasreen and 6 points from Shivani. In reply, Jharkhand could score only 16 points. Delhi won the match by one innings and 22 points.
In the match between Vidarbha and Manipur, Vidarbha won the match by an innings and 20 runs. KKFI referee in-charge Prashant Patekar Kaka, members Surendra Kumar, Vivek Nagrekar and Sangeet Bhatt and Shweta Bhatt and their team were seen performing their responsibilities.
