Muhammadabad (Ghazipur), March 30 (Hindustan Reporter) The body of Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari reached his native town Muhammadabad residence at 1:15 pm with heavy police force from Banda, Uttar Pradesh. He will be laid to rest today (Saturday) at Kalibagh cemetery in Muhammadabad. Preparations are being made to take the funeral procession. Ghazipur District Magistrate Aryaka Akhauri has said that all preparations for the last rites are complete. Police and other forces have been deployed on the route from the ancestral home to the cemetery.
The grave of mafia don Mukhtar has been dug near the graves of his father Subhanullah Ansari and mother Begum Rabia Khatoon. Mukhtar's body reached amid heavy security arrangements. It took more than eight and a half hours to reach Muhammadabad in Ghazipur district from Banda. The health of Mukhtar Ansari, lodged in Banda jail, deteriorated on Thursday. He was immediately taken to Rani Durgavati Medical College, Banda. There he died at 8:25 pm due to heart failure. At 1 pm on Friday afternoon, a panel of three magistrates and five-member doctors conducted the post-mortem under the supervision of top officials including the CMO. Mafia henchmen were definitely seen outside the post-mortem house, but only the son and daughter-in-law were among their own people. At 4:40 pm, Mukhtar's body was handed over to his son Omar Ansari.
