An attack took place on Friday evening in a concert hall in the Russian capital Moscow. After the first few blasts there was heavy firing. More than 130 people have lost their lives so far in this incident. At the same time, about 150 people have been injured. US White House spokesperson said that the terrorist organization IS (Islamic State)-Khorasan is behind these bomb blasts.

According to reports, American intelligence agencies had recently warned that IS terrorists were planning to attack Russia. According to the White House, they have taken responsibility for this and warned their citizens and Russian officials. However, this attack was carried out by IS-Khorasa. Let us tell you when, why and how IS was formed…

When was IS-Khorasan formed?

The world came to know about IS, established in 1999, only after 2014. Before this, it had no influence in Syria, Iraq or other countries. IS-Khorasan is a branch of IS that was founded in January 2015 by disaffected members of the Taliban and Pakistani allies of the Taliban, who are staunch enemies of the United States. , The word Khorasan is based on the name of an ancient region that once included Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Iraq. Presently it is the part between Afghanistan and Syria.

The Khorasan module of IS is also known as 'Khorasan Group'. This group includes people associated with terrorist organization Al Qaeda with different ideologies. This group mainly operates from Syria and Khorasan.

The foundation of IS was laid by Baghdadi in 2006. After a long war, America liberated Iraq from the clutches of Saddam Hussein. But while achieving this independence, Iraq was completely devastated. As US forces left Iraq, several small groups began fighting for power. One of the group's leaders was Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the head of al-Qaeda in Iraq. He had been busy preparing his ground in Iraq since 2006, but at that time he had neither money, nor help, nor fighters. ,

In fact, by the time the US Army withdrew from Iraq in 2011, it had overthrown the Iraqi government. Saddam was killed. The infrastructure was completely destroyed and worst of all, it left Iraq with zero electricity. Due to lack of resources at that time, Baghdadi could not be very successful. However, to capture Iraq, by then it had changed the name of Al-Qaeda Iraq to ISI i.e. Islamic State of Iraq.

Baghdadi had brought with him the commanders and soldiers of Saddam Hussein's army. After this he started targeting police, army offices, check posts and recruitment stations. By now thousands of people had joined Baghdadi, but still Baghdadi did not get that success in Iraq. Angered by Iraq, Baghdadi decided to go to Syria. Syria was then facing civil war. Al-Qaeda and the Free Syrian Army were the two largest groups there.

For the first four years, Baghdadi did not achieve any major success in Syria. After this he once again changed the name of his organization to IS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). In June 2013, a general of the Free Syrian Army came forward for the first time and appealed to the world that if they did not get weapons, they would lose the war to the rebels within a month. Within a week of this appeal, America, Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar started providing arms, money and training to the Free Syrian Army. These countries sent all the modern weapons, anti-tank missiles, ammunition, everything to Syria and from here the days of IS changed. In fact, the weapons which were meant for the Free Syrian Army reached IS within a year because by then IS had infiltrated the Free Syrian Army. Also, IS deceived the world by wearing the mask of freedom fighters in Syria. Under the guise of this mask, America itself unknowingly trained IS terrorists.

IS-Khorasa has already carried out many terrorist attacks

IS-Khorasa has already carried out several terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. In 2021, when the US decided to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan after the Taliban took over, two suicide attacks took place outside the Kabul airport. At least 60 people, including American Marine commandos, were killed in these attacks. More than 100 people, including five American soldiers, were injured.

The militant group claimed responsibility for a deadly explosion at a girls' school in Kabul in May, which killed 68 and injured 165. IS-Khorasa also attacked the British-American Hello Trust in June, killing 10 and wounding 16 others.
