Badaun Double Murder: The brutal double murder in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh has created a stir. Two murderers named Sajid and Javed brutally murdered two innocent children. Police killed a murderer in an encounter. Another accused is absconding. Police have currently taken Sajid's father and uncle into custody.
In this double murder, local barber Sajid allegedly killed two children in Baba Colony of Badayu on Tuesday evening, Uttar Pradesh Police said. The killers slit the throats of Ayush (13) and Ahaan (6) with a sharp weapon. About two hours after the murder, the killer Sajid was killed in a police encounter.
UP Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar said the accused was killed when he opened fire on the pursuing police team. The accused has been identified as 22-year-old Sajid. Sajid's shop is located near the boys' house in Baba Colony of Civil Lines police station area of Badayu. The victim's father Vinod Singh is a contractor, while her mother Sangeeta owns a beauty parlor.
Badanyu SSP Alok Priyadarshi said that the accused Sajid entered the house at 7.30 in the evening. At that time, Vinod Singh had reportedly gone to the market while his wife was at her beauty parlor. Police said the boys were at home with their grandmother. The father of the innocent deceased has lodged an FIR against the accused.
The perpetrator of the murder, 22 year old Sajid, was a barber by profession. According to media reports, he used to run a salon in Civil Lines police station area. It is said that there was commotion in the house of his victim's family. It is said that even at the time of the incident, he had reached the house of the victim's family on the pretext of helping.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Badayu SSP Alok Priyadarshi said, 'Accused Sajid came home at 7.30 pm yesterday and went to the terrace, where children were playing. He attacked and killed two children. Then he came down, where the crowd tried to stop him but he escaped.
The SSP further said, 'As soon as the news of the accused's escape was received, the police team swung into action. The accused started firing at the police and was killed in retaliation. The weapon and revolver used in the murder have been confiscated. In the FIR, the family of the deceased children has also named his brother Javed. The team is investigating him and he will also be caught soon.
The police officer said, 'According to the family, the accused had asked for help of Rs 5,000 from the children's father in the name of his wife's delivery.'
Piyush, the third brother of the deceased children, while talking to Aaj Tak, said, 'Sajid started attacking both the brothers without making any sound. I was also caught and then my mouth was sealed so that I could not tell others. The attacker himself got injured when he stepped on the broken glass. Then I ran away and went downstairs and told everyone.
The father of the deceased children has written in the FIR that, 'Accused Sajid told my wife that he needed money because his wife was about to give birth to a child. When she went inside to get the money, he said that he was unwell and he went to urinate on the terrace and also took my children (deceased) with him. He also called his brother Javed to the terrace. When Mari came back, she saw knives in the hands of Sajid and Javed. Sajid also tried to attack my surviving son and got injured. Both the accused were running away and Sajid told my wife that he had completed his work today.
