Actress Spruha Chatterjee, who plays the negative character of Mahi in Star Plus’ famous show ‘Anupama’, is popular on social media these days. However, because of his character he is also facing trolling. Spruha expressed her frank opinion on this and told that the makers had discussed with her before playing this character.
Spruha has no difference with trolls
In an interview given to India Forum, Spruha shared her opinion regarding trolls. He said:
“Honestly, I don’t think much about trolling. I do whatever the script demands from me. What about people, negative comments always keep coming. Even if there are some more criticisms about my character, it doesn’t matter. What can be more than this?”
Spruha says that she is completely dedicated to playing her role and does not let social media comments overshadow her performance.
The makers had discussed
Spruha revealed that the show’s producer Rajan Shahi had spoken to her before her character took a negative turn. He said:
“When my character was changing, Rajan sir asked me if I had any problem in playing a negative role. I said, ‘No sir, I have no problem in playing a negative role. However, I feel that my voice and personality may be less suited for this type of role. On this he said, ‘Son, we will decide what will suit you and what will not.’ After listening to him I said, ‘That is right sir.'”
Spruha told that she accepted this challenge without hesitation and was fully prepared to play this role.

Spruha got full support from producer Rajan Shahi. According to him, it is the creative team’s decision whether she fits in the negative role or not, and he expressed confidence in Spruha’s ability.
