Kannauj, March 15 (Hindus). The party's unity is disintegrating in Kannauj, the workplace of SP President Akhilesh Yadav. On Friday, former Talgram Nagar Panchayat Chairman Dinesh Yadav resigned from SP and joined BJP. The wife of senior SP leader Dinesh Yadav is currently a District Panchayat member. After being the student union president of Kanpur University, Mr. Yadav was also the Kannauj district president of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, the frontal organization of SP. He was being neglected by the party high command for a long time.
There were speculations that senior SP leader of the district Dinesh Yadav would join BJP after resigning from SP on Friday morning. Internal discord is going on in SP ever since Dimple Yadav lost the election from Kannauj in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Due to which the party has to face a crushing defeat in Kannauj in the 2022 assembly elections. There was a time when Kannauj was called the impenetrable fort of the Samajwadi Party. Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav kept a direct eye on every worker of the district. As soon as he took over the command of the party along with the power of the state, SP President Akhilesh Yadav became a puppet of a few people of Kannauj and started ignoring the hardworking workers of the party. As a result, a situation of confusion was created in the district. Surrounded by gossipmongers, Akhilesh Yadav did not take any positive step in the interest of the party in the last five years. With SP leader Dinesh Yadav, who was counted among many leaders neglected by the higher leadership, leaving SP and joining BJP, it is being speculated that soon some more SP leaders will rebel from the party. Dinesh Yadav, who left SP, has been accepted the membership of BJP by Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak at BJP's state office in Lucknow.
