New Delhi: Bollywood’s panga girl Kangana Ranaut is in the headlines for her upcoming film ‘Emergency’. Along with being active in politics, Kangana often expresses her opinion on issues related to the film industry. Kangana Ranaut supported Diljit Dosanjh
In the interview of Agenda Aaj Tak, Kangana Ranaut openly expressed her views on the debate regarding Diljit Dosanjh’s songs. He said in support of Diljit that every artist has a different way of expression and it should not depend on anyone’s permission.
Gave examples of folk songs of Himachal
Referring to the folk songs of Himachal Pradesh, Kangana said:
“We have many folk songs which have characters like ‘Bimla’ and ‘Kunju’. These songs talk about both drinking and not drinking.”
He told that emotions have great importance in art, and every artist expresses his emotions in a different way.
Kangana’s opinion on alcohol based songs
Kangana took a balanced view on the criticism on songs and scenes in films related to alcohol and drugs. He said:
“Scenes of alcohol or drugs in songs and films are used with challenges. Freedom of expression is the right of every artist.”

Kangana also drew attention to the public’s responsibility on this issue. They said that:
“The government alone is not responsible for the use of things like alcohol. The general public should also understand their responsibility.”

“Even if we remove everything from songs and films, the reality will not change. There are many alcohol-free states, but alcohol is sold there too. We should also discuss what is the responsibility of the people themselves.”
