Now America will get a special Predator Dawn to control India's neighboring enemies China and Pakistan. So that both the countries can be controlled well. The Biden administration has further strengthened India-US defense cooperation by sending a letter of intent (LOA) to the Defense Ministry to acquire 31-MQ9B Predator drones from US General Atomics. After this, India's military strength will increase manifold. This will not only help India in monitoring the borders but will also keep a close watch on the maritime areas.
The US State Department published a notification on the drone deal on February 1. This last LOA has been sent because there was no veto from the lawmakers on the US agreement with India.
This is how the deal will be studied
Now that the final approval letter has been received, it will be studied by the Indian Navy and then sent to CCS through Defense Minister Rajnath Singh after getting a satisfactory price. As per the agreement between the armed forces, the Indian Navy will get 16 MQ 9B drones and the Indian Army and Indian Air Force will get eight drones each.
India has decided to procure 171 Hell-Fire AGM 114R missiles, laser guided bombs, missile launchers, ground stations, anti-submarine sonobuoys and 31 drones for full encryption and advanced platforms. India's acquisition of 31 Predator drones comes at a time when the lease of two Sky Guardian drones (unarmed Predator) of the Indian Navy is about to expire in January. It was first extended till March and then this month a four-year extension was signed at a cost of $220-230 million.
This drone is a cross between Pakistan and China
Analysts say the India-US MQ9B deal will be a game changer in the Indo-Pacific, acting as an effective counter to the Chinese Wing Loong II armed drone. China has also sold this drone to Pakistan.
