India's position has improved in Human Development Index, ranking is so – News India Live

The United Nations i.e. UNO has released the latest data on Human Development Index on Thursday. Due to this, there has been a lot of improvement in the situation in India. According to UNO HDI, India's ranking has improved by one step in 2022. And it has reached 134th position among 193 countries. Which was ranked 135th out of 191 countries in 2021. The population of Indians and the per capita income of every person has increased.

India's gender inequality index improves

At the same time, India has got a score of 0.437 in Gender Inequality Index 2022. And it is at number 108 out of 193 countries. India was ranked 122nd among other 191 countries. The Ministry of Women and Child Development said that the jump of 14 ranks in GIE-2022 is important for the country. According to the report, India's GII score is 0.437, which is well above the average of global and South Asian countries.

However, in contrast, the country has seen the largest gender gap in labor force participation rates. There is a difference of 47.8 percent between 28.3 percent in women and 76.1 percent in men.

Desire to live for five years increased, education improved

In the latest data for the year 2022, improvement has been seen in all the HDI indices of India. Like, education, education and GNI etc. Life expectancy has increased from 62.2 percent to 67.7 years. School education has also reached 12.6 percent. Average schooling increased from 6.57 percent to 6.57 and per capita GNI increased from $6,542 to ₹6,951.

The index improved by 48 percent in the year 1990.

India's Human Development Index has declined in the year 2021. Which remained flat for many years. But in the year 2022, India's HDI assessment increased to 0.644. The country has been ranked 134th out of 193 countries in the 2023-24 Human Development Report. In the year 2021 this score was 0.633. Due to which India's number was 135th out of 191 countries. It is noteworthy that in 1990, India's human development score was 0.434. Till now it has improved by 48.4 percent

Second consecutive year of global decline

A report of a UN program on data related to the Human Development Index has been published. Which is based on the findings of the Human Development Index for the year 2021. In which for the first time, a decline in HDI has been seen at the global level for the second consecutive year. According to the report, rich countries have achieved record human development, but the development crisis in less poor countries has fallen below previous levels.
