China's misdeeds in Ramzan: Anti-Islamic attitude, Sinicization of Muslims going on in Xinji Yang

New Delhi: The holy month of Ramzan is starting. On the occasion of this holy month of Muslims, many global leaders including United States President Joe Biden, UNO Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have extended greetings. But Chinese President Xi Jinping did not do this. On the contrary, they have started sinicizing Muslims in Ramzan.

According to available information, Uyghur Muslims and Turkic Muslims in China's northwestern province of Xinjiang (Xinqiang = Eastern Tartary) are treated blindly, even though they are natives of China. The Communist government of China has a strict attitude towards Muslims. For the last ten years, continuous repressive action has been taken against Uyghur Muslims. China has always accused him of religious fundamentalism and separatism. The Chinese government emphasizes the Sinicization of the Uighurs.

A report by Radio Free Asia said that Communist Party of China Minister Ma Jingrui had stressed on Sinicizing the Muslims living in China just a week ago. On March 7, at the National People's Congress in Baring, it was said that there is a need to Sinicize Islam in Xinjiang.

After 2017, the Beijing government's oppression of these Uighurs is increasing and claims are also being made to end religious fundamentalism. Many religious practices are prohibited among the Uyghurs. A large number of arrests are also being made. Government officials are also destroying mosques. In 2023, Chinese authorities banned Uyghurs in many areas of the region from praying in mosques or even at home.
