If we talk about the use of AI technology, there are about 2000 AI start-ups in India. It is developing so fast that in a few years India will emerge as a superpower. At present India ranks 10th in the use of Artificial Intelligence. Whereas America and China are leaders in the use of AI. Some educational institutions have been opened for studies in these countries. Apart from this, the government is also giving many types of incentives. In 2017, China had set a target of establishing an industry worth $150 billion by 2030.
Where does India stand in terms of AI usage?
In the year 2019, NITI Aayog has started working on Artificial Intelligence institutionally. Additionally, NASSCOM's National AI Portal in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology went live in June this year. Apart from this, according to a figure, in the year 2018, the expenditure on AI in India has increased by 109.6 percent to 665 million dollars. Apart from this, if we talk about private sector, at present Google has given a fund of 10 billion dollars for digitalization in India. Whereas Facebook has invested $5.7 billion in a company. Also, there are currently more than 40 lakh software developers in India and by the end of this year, India will become the country with the highest number of software developers as compared to other countries.
