Mumbai: Mid-cap stocks have seen limited decline so far compared to small-cap stocks. But after the fall in small cap stocks due to strict stance of SEBI, redemption pressure in mutual funds, now investors started pulling out investments in mid cap stocks and funds and retail investors started selling stocks, BSE Today the Midcap Index declined by 1646.75 points or 4.20 percent. It reached the level of 37591.15. It has fallen 2691 points or 6.69 percent from its fifty-two week high of 40282.49 on February 8, 2024.
There was a rise in midcap shares. Prices of 119 shares out of 124 included in the BSE Mid Cap Index declined today. While only five shares closed positive. Wealth of investors in midcap stocks today – market cap. Rs 3,00,283 crore sank to Rs 61,77,753 crore.
