43.68 crore shares of BATA ITC worth Rs. Sales worth Rs 17,485 crore

New Delhi: British multinational BAT (British American Tobacco) today sold its 3.5 per cent stake in ITC Ltd for Rs. Rs 17,485 crore were sold in the open market.

After selling 3.5 percent stake, BAT plc's stake in ITC has come down to 25.5 percent.

The Government of Singapore, Monetary Authority of Singapore, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Goldman Sachs (Singapore), Copthal Mauritius Investment, BofA Securities Europe SA, Societe Generale, Morgan Stanley Asia, Singapore Pte and Ghisello Master Fund LPA have bought shares of ITC.

BAT sold 43.68 crore shares of ITC in 48 transactions. This sale has been done at an average price of Rs 400.25. This means the total value of ITC shares sold by BAT is Rs 17,487.97 crore.

Apart from this, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund, Max Life Insurance Company, IAMF, Capital Group, Kuwait Investment Authority, People's Bank of China, International Bank for Reconstruction and Development also participated from India.
