Texas: Paul Alexander, who lived inside an iron lung for 70 years, died at the age of 78. His death was announced on his GoFundMe page on Tuesday. After suffering from polio at the age of six, Alexander was forced to live inside an iron frame. Alexander, known as Polio Paul, was paralyzed from the neck down in 1952, leaving him unable to breathe on his own. He was taken to a hospital in Texas.
