Rajkot: A grand Ayodhya city has been built on the race course ground of Rajkot city. From today Saturday evening, world famous Ram Kathakar Morari Bapu will provide the audience with the taste of Ram Katha from Shri Kanthe at the Race Course ground. Before the start of Ramkatha, Pothi puja ceremony was organized today.
After the completion of Pothi puja ceremony, Pothi Yatra was taken out from Virani Chowk of Rajkot city to Ayodhya city located at Race Course. In which an estimated more than 5000 people participated in the Poti Yatra. Pothi Yatra was started by Moraribapu and Swami Parmatmanandji.
Elephants, horse carts, open jeeps and dances of Siddi people also became the center of attraction in the huge procession. Various display tableaux were also placed in the Potiyatra. Along with this, a replica of Lord Ayodhyapati Ram was also kept. Saffron atmosphere was seen during the Potiyatra. At the same time, slogans of Jai-Jai Shri Ram were also heard everywhere. Leaders including Rajkot city mayor, MLA and MP member participated in the Potiyatra. Students associated with NCC and NSS also participated in Pothi Yatra by placing Pothi on their heads.
On this occasion, Swami Parmatmanandji said, I am sure that a lot of expressions are going to start from today. There is a saying in English that, a good start is half the work, according to the same saying, today has started very well. Moraribapu never participates in Pothi Yatra or Pothi Pujan, but respecting the sentiments of all of us, he participated in Pothi Pujan. Along with this, he also gave the green signal for Pothi Yatra to depart.
It is worth noting that Ram Katha is being organized by Morari Bapu in Rajkot city after 12 years. When Ram Katha is being organized by Morari Bapu after a decade, it is obvious that there is a different enthusiasm among the devotees. More than 3,000 volunteers have participated in the Ram Katha, which ran for nine consecutive days.
Along with this, arrangements have also been made for about one lakh listeners to sit and listen in Ayodhya city. Every day new sweets will be prepared and prasad will be fed to the devotees. State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Governor Acharya Dev are also taking oath.
