Ahmedabad News: Nirma University held its 33rd Annual Convocation (Convocation) on 22 November 2024. Where 2,780 students graduated, including 1,884 undergraduate, 861 postgraduate and 35 doctoral students. Among the graduates, 1,799 were men and 981 were women. A total of 66 medals were awarded to 56 students in recognition of their exceptional academic performance, which included 30 female and 26 male medal winners.
Hon’ble Sanjib Kumar Behera, Executive Director and State Head (Gujarat), Indian Oil Corporation Limited attended the function as the Chief Guest. In his address, Behera heartily congratulated the graduates and said that it is a privilege to address you on this important occasion. You have turned possibilities into reality, and now you stand on the threshold of a new chapter, ready for it. As you move forward, remember that leadership begins with self-awareness and the ability to embrace new challenges, optimism and flexibility, and surround yourself with mentors and networks who can guide your growth, Keep learning and apply your knowledge to society and build a better future, but with perseverance and purpose, you will succeed.

Dr. Karsanbhai K Patel, President, Nirma University, presided over the program and emphasized on the importance of continuous learning, adaptability and values like responsibility, humility and hard work. “Perseverance and determination will help you tackle challenges and move forward with courage,” he said, encouraging the graduates to contribute positively to society, protect the environment and maintain equality.
Director General Dr Anup K Singh presented the annual report, highlighting notable achievements of the University, including contributions to research progress, academic excellence and innovation.
