Rs 2.60 lakh looted from businessman, police busy searching for criminals

Forbesganj/Araria, 23 November (HS). An incident of robbery of about Rs 2.60 lakh from a businessman has come to light in Araria. Three unknown criminals carried out this incident when the businessmen were going to make payment to their staff. This incident took place on the way from Araria RS to Gidariya Railway Gumti.

Manoj Bhagat, brother of the victim businessman, told that his brother was going to his Shriram Ply factory as usual. Meanwhile, three criminals riding on an Apache bike were ambushed near a tea factory on the way. As soon as the businessmen reached there, the criminals threatened them with weapons and looted the bag full of money. Not only this, the criminals also searched the trunk of the businessman’s bike. After not finding anything in the trunk, the criminals fled towards Gidaria Railway Gumti. Whose CCTV footage has also surfaced.

As soon as information about this incident was received, Araria ASP cum SDPO Rampukar Singh met the victim and took complete information about the incident. He has immediately started investigation by directing Araria RS Police Station Head Ajit Choudhary. Similarly, Araria SP Amit Ranjan has ordered to form a special team to investigate the robbery.
