New Delhi, 23 November (HS). Counting of votes started at 8 am on Saturday morning after the elections for the assemblies of two states Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Initial trends will start emerging after a few hours. It will become clear by afternoon who will be crowned in both the states. Along with this, the results of by-elections held on the famous Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala and Nanded Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra and 48 assembly seats of 14 states including nine seats of Uttar Pradesh will also be declared today. Counting of votes has started on all these seats.
Maharashtra: Who will be crowned?
More than 9.7 crore people exercised their franchise in the elections held on November 20 for 288 seats of Maharashtra Assembly. 4,136 candidates were in the fray. The BJP-led Mahayuti (BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP) alliance is trying to form the government again in the state.
