When can the life certificate be submitted?
The month of November is very special for pensioners. It is necessary for the pensioners to submit their survival certificate by 30th November 2024 so that they continue to receive pension without any hindrance. The life certificate submitted by pensioners is valid for one year. The life certificates submitted by pensioners last year are valid only till November 30, 2024. In such a situation, to get pension from the month of December, it is necessary that the pensioner submit his life certificate within 9 days i.e. 30th November.
Super senior citizens i.e. people above 80 years of age have the facility to submit life certificate from 1 October to 30 November 2024, while senior citizens above 60 years of age can submit life certificate between 1 November to 30 November 2024. Can. This can be done both online and offline.

According to the FAQs of UIDAI, if senior citizens receiving pension do not submit the life certificate by 30 November 2024, they will stop receiving pension from the month of December. According to UIDAI’s FAQ, “Pension will be paid along with the outstanding amount on the next pension payment date after the life certificate is updated in the pension system. But if the life certificate is not submitted for a period of three years or more, the pension will be released only after the approval of the competent authority through CPAO as per the prescribed procedure.”

These days, for the convenience of customers, banks are providing the facility of submitting life certificate through door step banking. For this you can go to the bank’s mobile app or website. Apart from this, booking of door step banking can also be done through the toll free number of the bank. After this the bank officer comes home and collects the life certificate from the pensioner. Many banks provide this facility to senior citizens for free. At the same time, many banks also charge customers for this.
Jeevan Pramaan Portal
Pensioners can also submit their life certificate online from home through Jeevan Pramaan portal. For this they will need UIDAI identity card. Proof of survival can be easily submitted on this portal through biometric verification.
Submit life certificate through postman
India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) is also providing the facility of verification of life certificate to its customers through Postman. This is a facility similar to door step banking, in which the postman comes to the pensioner’s home and takes his life certificate.
Application can be made through Umang App
Life certificate can be submitted even sitting at home through Umang app. For this you will not need to go to EPFO office. To submit life certificate through Umang app, you must have 12 digit Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.
Life certificate can be submitted through PDA
Pensioners can also submit their life certificate by visiting the pension disbursing authority i.e. post office or bank. A form has to be filled in the bank.

Department of Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW) is providing the facility to submit life certificate through face authentication. For this you just have to go to Google Play Store, download ‘Aadhaar Face RD Application’ and go to the app. With the help of the app you can submit your life certificate.
