How much is the cancellation charge in Vande Bharat?
Indian Railways charges cancellation charges on cancellation of booked tickets. Railways earn crores of rupees every year from this cancellation charge. If you have booked a ticket in AC chair car of Vande Bharat Express and for some reason you have to cancel the ticket, then Railways will charge you a cancellation charge of Rs 180 from the base price of the ticket and will refund the remaining amount to you. Apart from this, if you had booked a ticket in Executive Class of Vande Bharat, which has to be canceled now, then Rs 240 will be deducted from the base price of your ticket.
GST money is not refunded
When you cancel the ticket, the reservation charge and GST are not refunded to you. On cancellation of ticket, cancellation charge is deducted from the base price of the ticket and the remaining amount is refunded. Let us tell you that Indian Railways charges a cancellation charge of Rs 180 even on third class AC ticket. On cancellation of sleeper class ticket, Rs 120 is charged and on cancellation of general class ticket, Rs 60 is charged.
