Madrid, November 5 (Hindustan Reporter) Real Madrid won its latest match against AC Milan in the Champions League. Their weekend match against Valencia was postponed due to flooding. The Valencia region has been badly affected. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted on Monday that he would like to see Tuesday's match also postponed.
In his press conference, Ancelotti, who also coaches AC Milan, talked about the Valencia floods and indicated he would prefer Tuesday's match to be postponed as well.
Ancelotti said, “Football is a celebration, and when everything is fine, when your family is fine and everything is fine, you can celebrate and party. When people are not well, you should not celebrate.”
Ancelotti said that there is a saying that the show must go on, however it does not and football must stop.
Real Madrid are also exempt from the first round of the Copa del Rey knockout competition played last week, meaning it will follow Carlo Ancelotti's side's 4-0 home defeat to FC Barcelona in the Clasico on October 26. Will be the first game.
This is also the first match since the club boycotted the Ballon d'Or ceremony after learning that Vinicius Jr. was not going to receive the prestigious award, but the award was going to go to Manchester City's Rodrigo Hernandez.
Ancelotti has been successful in working with his players over the past week and the only long-term injured David Alaba and Dani Carvajal are currently unavailable.
His team have won two and lost one of their three Champions League games so far, although they faced a major challenge at home against Borussia Dortmund in their last European game, in which they finished 2nd. They were down -0, but Vinicius' hat-trick helped them win 5-2.
