The Indian stock market opened with a decline today i.e. on Monday 05 November. On Friday also the market closed down by 553 points. The Indian stock market has had a weak start on the first trading day of the week. Sensex is trading down 79,218.05 points. At present Nifty is trading 169.80 points down at 24,134.55 points.
Heavy fall in Sensex and Nifty
As soon as the market opened on Monday morning, the Sensex was at 78,965.53, down 758.59 points or 0.95 percent. At the same time, Nifty was seen trading at 24,073 with a huge fall of 230.75 points or 0.95 percent.

Today, out of 30 Sensex stocks, only 5 stocks are showing a rise and 25 are showing a decline. Declining stocks include Sun Pharma (down more than 3 per cent) and Reliance Industries (down around 3 per cent).
Sensex-Nifty surge in Diwali special muhurat trading
On the occasion of Diwali, there was a one-hour special Muhurta trading in the stock market on 1 November. In which Sensex closed at 79,724 with a gain of 335 points. At this time Nifty jumped 99 points and closed at 24,304.
After trading, out of all 30 Sensex stocks, 26 stocks were up, while 4 stocks were down. At the same time, 42 out of 50 stocks of Nifty were bullish and only 8 stocks were bullish.
