Once again drugs worth crores of rupees have been seized from the Arabian Sea off Porbandar, six Pakistanis have been arrested with drugs worth Rs 480 crores, such a huge quantity of drugs have been seized from the waters 350 km away from Porbandar. The special thing is that in the joint operation of Gujarat ATS, Coast Guard and NCB, such a quantity of drugs have been seized from the sea. Six Pakistanis have also been arrested along with 70 to 80 drug packets. All these arrested accused will be brought to Porbandar. It is noteworthy that drugs worth Rs 2 thousand crores were seized from the sea 13 days ago.

Indian Navy, NCB and Gujarat ATS conducted a joint operation and seized a large quantity of narcotics from the sea near Porbandar. Five arrested with 3300 kg drugs. There is a possibility of drugs coming from Chabahar port of Iran. Four mobile phones have been seized from the accused. It was written on the packet 'Ras Awad Food Company, Made in Pakistan'. There is high quality charas worth five to seven lakhs. In further investigation the price of drugs is likely to reach Rs 2,000 crore.

According to the information, this boat was in the sea for two days. The Indian Navy stopped and searched the suspicious boats upon entering Indian waters. During the investigation, drugs worth crores of rupees were recovered from the ship. The five arrested accused, suspected to be Pakistanis, have been taken to Porbandar in Gujarat.

Indian security agencies are collecting drugs and information about them from the arrested accused. 'Made in Pakistan' is written on the seized medicines. The seized drugs include 2950 kg hashish, 160 kg methamphetamine, 25 kg morphine.

Gujarat coast is a soft landing point for drug smugglers and drugs and heroin worth Rs 6500 crore have been seized in the last one year. Earlier, huge quantities of drugs were seized from Kutch, Jamnagar, Dwarka district and Mundra port of South Gujarat. Veraval port then appears to have been used for drug smuggling for the first time.

A big revelation came to light during the interrogation of accused Dharmendra Kashyap. The quantity of these medicines was loaded from Oman port. A mafia named Yarbab had sent the quantity of drugs. It has been revealed that the quantity of drugs seized in Gir Somnath was meant to be smuggled to Rajkot. It has been revealed that a person named Murtaza from Iran used to send drugs to Oman and from there to Rajkot.

50 kg sealed packets of heroin drugs worth Rs 350 crore were seized from Naliya Pill Bank of Veraval port.

In the month of September 2021, a tanker filled with 3000 kg of drugs was seized by DRI at Mudra port. The drugs were brought to Mundra port from Afghanistan in the guise of talcum powder. These medicines were imported by Ashi Trading Company of Vijayawada. NIA is investigating the case.
