Mumbai: Ahead of Dhanteras, a huge fall in the prices of gold and silver was seen in the Mumbai jewelery market today. Market watchers were expecting another surge in festive season demand as precious metal prices moved from highs to lows. There was a decline in world market news. The fall in the world market led to a decline in domestic import costs and jewelers felt relieved as prices fell in the country's jewelery markets as Diwali approached.
In Mumbai bullion market today, the price of 10 gram gold without GST was Rs 77932 at Rs 78600, while the price of 99.90 gold was at Rs 78245, while with GST its price is 3 percent more than this price. Market sources said that if we look at last year's Dhanteras price, the price of gold has increased by Rs 17 thousand per 10 grams in one year and by Rs 27 thousand in two years.
Meanwhile, gold prices fell by Rs 600 to Rs 80,800 from Rs 99.50 and Rs 81,000 from Rs 99.90 in Ahmedabad market. Whereas the price of silver in Ahmedabad was Rs 97000 per kg.
The price of gold in the world market was at a low level of 2748 to 2724 to 2733 to 2734 dollars per ounce. Crude oil prices in the global market fell by 6 per cent today as the dollar index and bond yields rose and crude oil prices fell. Despite the tension between Iran and Israel, there was talk that there would be no significant impact on the price of crude oil.
Meanwhile, in the global market, silver prices today ranged from $33.23 to $33.43 and hit a low of $33.72 an ounce. Global copper prices fell 0.41 per cent today, while platinum prices were at $1016 at $1026 an ounce for 1018-1019. Palladium prices ranged from 1196 to 1197, low of 1181 and high of 1219 to 1201 to 1202 dollars.
Mumbai silver prices today without GST ranged from Rs 97000 to Rs 96086. In the world market, Brent crude prices ranged from $71.29 to $71.55 per barrel at a low of 76.05, while US crude prices ranged from $67.14 to $67.36 per barrel at a low of 71.78.
