Mumbai dominates Vidarbha with a lead of 117, Rahane-Mushir's half-centuries

With the help of unbeaten half-centuries from captain Ajinkya Rahane and Musheer Khan, Mumbai dominated the game on the second day of the Ranji Trophy final against Vidarbha. After scoring 224 runs in the first innings, Mumbai bowled out Vidarbha for 105 runs in the first innings and scored 141 runs for two wickets in the second innings. At the time of stumps on the second day, Rahane was playing on 58 runs on 109 balls and Musheer Khan was playing on 51 runs on 135 balls. An unbeaten partnership of 107 runs was recorded between the two for the third wicket. On the basis of first innings, Mumbai team has taken a strong lead of 117 runs against Vidarbha and is ahead by a total of 260 runs.

The next day, Vidarbha team started increasing the score by 31 runs for three wickets but they had to face defeat in front of Mumbai bowlers. Yash Rathore scored 27 runs and Arthav Thaide scored 23 runs. For Mumbai, Dhawal Kulkarni took three wickets for 15 runs, Shams Mulani took three wickets for 32 runs and Tanush Kotia took three wickets for seven runs. In Mumbai's first innings, Shardul Thakur contributed 75 runs and Prithvi Shaw contributed 46 runs.
