Officials should deliver government schemes to the eligible: Former MP

Barabanki, 25 October (HS). Former MP Upendra Singh Rawat said in the Chaupal set up in Gram Panchayat Amoli Kala that every eligible person should get the benefits of the schemes run by the Central and State Government and no eligible person should be left deprived. In the Chaupal program organized by Pradhan Ram Kumar Mishra on Friday evening, the former MP said that the government is running many schemes for the betterment of the poor and to raise their standard of living.

Former MLA Sharad Awasthi said that all village heads and officials should make efforts to ensure that all the schemes of the government are available to every eligible person. There should be complete transparency, there should be no caste, community or political interference in this. Block Development Officer Jitendra Kumar, while giving detailed information about all the public welfare schemes including Sumangala, Mass Marriage Scheme, MNREGA, Pension, Housing, Kisan Samman, said that it is necessary for every eligible person to get the benefits of all these schemes. No staff officer should do any negligence in this.

In the Chaupal programme, Braj Rani demanded to provide the pending old age pension and Kisan Samman Nidhi, while Suman talked about providing the stalled widow pension. After reviewing her documents, it was found that she is not eligible to get widow pension as she is above 60 years of age, now she will be given old age pension. Bitana Devi raised the problem of stalled pension. Many people talked about providing housing and toilets.

On this occasion, a large number of villagers including JMI Pramod Tiwari, ADO ISB Jairam Valmiki, Village Development Officer Vineet Rai, Anganwadi Supervisor Deepa Bora were present.
