Kerala A, Assam A, Tamil Nadu and Kerala B qualified for the finals with their brilliant performance in the semi-final matches of Sub Junior Boys Single Scull in the 25th Sub Junior National Rowing Championship. On the other hand, in sub-junior boys coxless force, along with A and B teams of Maharashtra, Punjab and Haryana B also secured the place for the finals.
Semi-final matches were played on Friday in the championship organized by Uttar Pradesh Rowing Association at Ramgarh Tal under the auspices of Rowing Federation of India (RFI). Today, the top two teams in the semi-finals of all categories got tickets for the finals and will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals tomorrow. Today, in the first semi-final of Under-13 Boys Double Sculls, Odisha entered the finals by standing first and Maharashtra B at second position. In the second semi-final of the same category, Haryana was successful in qualifying for the final by finishing first and RFI D at second position.

In the first semi-final of Sub Junior Girls Single Sculls, Punjab A stood first and Haryana reached the finals by finishing second. In the second semi-final, Manipur finished first and Punjab B reached the next round by finishing second.
In the first semi-final of Sub Junior Boys Doubles Sculls, Odisha stood first and Haryana A stood second and in the second semi-final, Telangana stood first and Manipur stood second and secured the ticket to the final. In the first semi-final of sub-junior girls double scull, Kerala finished first, Punjab A finished second and in the second semi-final, West Bengal A finished first and Maharashtra qualified for the final by finishing second.
Rowing Federation of India President Rajlakshmi Singh Dev, the chief guest of the championship on Friday, wished the players who made it to the finals for their best performance. On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Rowing Association President Rani Pakshalika Singh (BJP MLA), Secretary Sudhir Sharma and Organizing Secretary Puneet Kumar were also present. The final matches in the championship will start at 8 am on Saturday. Four teams have secured tickets for the finals in all categories.
