Sensex opened with a gain of 122.18 points at 80,187.34 points, while Nifty 50 also opened with a gain of 18.65 points at 24,418.05 points. 30 Nifty companies started trading in the green.
On Friday, shares of 20 out of 30 Sensex companies opened in the green with gains, while shares of 8 companies opened in the red with a decline. Apart from this, shares of two companies opened unchanged. Shares of 30 out of 50 Nifty companies opened in the green and those of 12 companies opened in the red. While shares of remaining 8 companies opened unchanged.
The stock market closed with a decline on Thursday
Earlier yesterday i.e. on October 24, the stock market witnessed a decline for the fourth consecutive day. Sensex fell 16 points to close at 80,065. Nifty also fell by about 36 points and closed at the level of 24,399.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 rose and 11 declined. Banking and auto stocks remained bullish. While FMCG and IT stocks declined.
