Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to celebrate the 8th Deepotsav of Ayodhya this year also in a grand and divine manner. On this occasion, preparations are underway to create a new world record by lighting 28 lakh lamps at 55 ghats of Saryu river. As part of the preparations for the Deepotsav, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University has fixed the number of lamps and volunteers, so that planned work can be done on a large scale to make this program a success.
More than 28 lakh lamps will be lit at 55 ghats
Under this program, more than 28 lakh lamps will be lit at 55 ghats of Saryu river. All other ghats including Ram Ki Pauri, Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat and Bhajan Sandhya Sthal will be closed under the supervision of ghat coordinators. Apart from this, around 30,000 volunteers from 14 affiliated colleges, 37 intermediate colleges and 40 voluntary organizations will actively participate in the program. The number of lamps and distribution of volunteers at the ghat has already been decided.
Number of lamps and volunteers on the ghat
Avadh University has also released detailed data on the number of lamps to be lit at the ghat and the number of volunteers to be deployed. For example, 765 volunteers will be deployed to light 65,000 lamps at Ghat 1 of Ram Ki Pauri, while 447 volunteers will be responsible for lighting 38,000 lamps at Ghat 2.
Volunteers will be deployed according to the number of lamps at 55 ghats.
Similarly, 565 volunteers will be deployed for 48,000 lamps at Ghat 3 and 718 volunteers for 61,000 lamps at Ghat 4. Similarly, volunteers will be deployed at all the 55 ghats according to the number of lamps. Volunteers associated with various colleges and institutions will participate in the program with full enthusiasm and will ensure proper arrangement of lamps at the ghat.
Volunteer Participation and Distribution of I-Cards
Nodal Officer of Deepotsav Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra told that the preparations for this Roshni Mahotsav to be held on October 30 are in the final stages. The consignment of lamps has started arriving at the ghats from 24th October and the work of placing lamps at the ghats will also start from 25th October. Distribution of I-cards of volunteers has also started, out of which more than 15 thousand I-cards have been distributed to the officials of the organizations. I-cards will be made available to all institutions by Friday.
The last training session will be held on 25th October
The final training session will be held on October 25 at 11:30 am in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. In this meeting, along with the district administration, all the deans, department heads, coordinators, principals and ghat in-charges of the university will be present. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure the final preparations of Deepotsav, so that the program can be completed smoothly on the day of Deepotsav on 30 October.
Preparation to make world record
A target has been set to light more than 28 lakh lamps at 55 ghats of Saryu river. Which will once again establish Ayodhya on the world stage. This festival of lights is not only important from the religious point of view, but also highlights the cultural heritage of Ayodhya.
