The festival of Diwali has started today with the worship of Ahoi Ashtami by women across the country including the national capital Delhi. The country's markets are in a festive mood, and buyers are excited due to strong demand for indigenous products. Traders expect big business these days. This year, a new mood is being seen among the people to celebrate the festival of Diwali.
The work of decorating the markets across the country including Delhi in a special way has started. This year, a business of Rs 4.25 lakh crore is expected across the country on Diwali. Which in itself will be a record of all time Diwali sales. The people of the country will shock China with Diwali buying and selling worth more than Rs 1 lakh crore.
Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) national general secretary and Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal said traders across the country have decided to make a big deal of the festival. To strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan of “Vocal for Local”, it has been decided to sell more and more Indian products in “Diwali – Indian Diwali”. The festival will continue till Narak Chaturdashi on October 30, Diwali on October 31, Govardhan Puja on November 2 and Bhai-Beej on November 3, but immediately after that the festive season will run from November 5 to Chhath Puja. Tulsi Vivah will be celebrated on 7th November and 12th November.
According to CAT, the sentiment of boycotting Chinese products has strengthened in the last few years and this year it seems to be more effective. CAT has also appealed to traders and consumers to buy only Indian products this Diwali and contribute to strengthening the Indian economy.
Diwali is not only a festival of lights and happiness but also an opportunity to boost the Indian economy. We all should together adopt the principle of 'Vocal for Local' and buy Indian products. This time, seeing the preparation of traders in the markets and the enthusiasm of consumers, it is certain that there will be a record increase in the sales of Indian goods.
The festival of Diwali is indicating a boom in the markets and unexpected increase in business activities in the coming days. Shopkeepers and traders are celebrating this occasion with great enthusiasm and making elaborate preparations to meet the needs of the customers.
