Railway Board has planned to give a big gift to North Bihar in the festive season. Five nectars for Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur and Barauni Bharat is going to give the gift of express trains. Increasing passenger convenience, the Railway Board has approved running of 26 new Amrit Bharat trains.
Of these, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur and Barauni have got one new train each and Darbhanga has got two new trains. For regular operation of these trains, the Board has sought operating timings from the concerned railway zone. After the commencement of operation of these trains, there will be a big increase in the facilities provided by the Railways to the passengers of Bihar.
According to the information given by the board, Amrit Bharat train will run between Muzaffarpur to Pune, Darbhanga to New Delhi, Darbhanga to New Delhi/Hisar, Samastipur to Lokmanya Terminal and Barauni to Udhna (Surat). Railway zones and divisions have started preparations at the local level. At present the route has not been decided. It is expected that both Amrit Bharat trains running between Darbhanga-New Delhi will also run via Muzaffarpur, Gorakhpur.
